MSA Altair Single Gas Detector

The ALTAIR Single-Gas Detector featuring sensor options for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide and oxygen will operate for over two years. This long lifespan, coupled with the unit’s high performance, results in one of the most cost-effective monitors on the market. Advanced design offers superior dust and water protection and high resistance to RFI. A rubberized housing and one-button operation provide the durability and ease of use users expect from MSA instruments. The triple-alarm system featuring two bright LEDs, a piercing audible alarm, and a vibrating alarm ensures that no alarm condition goes unnoticed.

The ALTAIR Detector automatically records the last 25 alarm and test events. To read data or change alarm set points simply connect the unit to an MSA infrared adapter using the built-in IR communication port.
The ALTAIR Single-Gas Detector uses patented electrochemical sensors, MSA-built Button toxic gas sensors which feature stainless steel construction and contain solid electrolyte, virtually eliminating the possibility of sensor leakage. The extremely small and thin sensor profile allows the detector to deliver high-performance in a very small package. The oxygen version utilizes fast responding reliable electrochemical sensors.

MSA Five Star Alarm

Allows the user to select the best combination of sensors to match the requirements at hand. There are eleven sensors to choose from, and as many as five can be used at one time. The sensors can easily be changed and calibrated.The FiveStar Alarm can automatically compensate for changes in atmospheric pressure, and has a battery gas gauge which indicates, in tenths of hours, how much longer the instrument can run on the remaining battery charge.

For added protection, MSA's Lockalarm™ Circuit ensures that the unit will remain in alarm mode whenever combustible gas levels reach 100 percent of the LEL (Lower Explosive Limit).

Small and lightweight, the FiveStar Alarm is convenient to carry in hand or clip to a belt. It can also be left unattended for continuous monitoring.

The FiveStar Alarm has been approved for use in Class 1 Division 1, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, G; and Class III hazardous locations.

MSA Orion Gas Detector

A low-cost, four-gas portable detector featuring one-button calibration, easy-to-change sensors, rugged construction with excellent resistance to dust and water penetration, and a 16- to 20-hour run time. With an internal pump and charger included, this multigas detector is priced below most competitive four-gas detectors now on the market. Detects O2, H2S, CO and combustible gas and is used for confined space entry in industrial, agricultural and other environments as well as by fire and rescue personnel. Accommodates either NiMH or alkaline batteries, which are interchangeable.

A four-gas, multi-function portable detector featuring one-button calibration, an internal pump for convenient remote sampling, rugged construction, excellent resistance to dust and water penetration and advanced ergonomic design. Detects combustible gas leaks, O2, H2S and CO. A flexible probe sensor makes it ideal for gas-leak detection indoors and outdoors at gas meters, bar holes, furnaces, pipes, storage tanks and survey sites. Other applications include confined space monitoring and carbon monoxide detection at flues and furnaces.
