Our sales staff has over 50 years of safety sales experience, our customer service department comes through with over 40 years of customer safety problem solving.
We have a local fleet of 6 delivery trucks. We deliver to all of San Diego, Imperial, Riverside and Yuma Counties, free. We are able to route and deliver emergency and rush orders with the flexibility our customers demand.
Our sales staff has l attended the manufacturers training on PPE products and relates this knowledge to our customers. This knowledge enhances cost saving strategies to reduce employee loss time and accidents.
We are one of the very few companies specializing, exclusively in Safety equipment within San Diego. We pay sales tax to the City of San Diego, our employees reinvest their salaries in the local San Diego economy.
Our employees work on safety issues, we are not a mega distributor, or multimillion dollar company – we specialize in Employee Health and Safety.
Many of our customers look to our resources as a compliment to their in-house Safety Department, benefitting from the exchange of information relating to innovation in products, and the ever changing industry regulations.
After attending our annual Open House, complete with manufacturers’ booths and training courses, the City of San Diego selected R.J. Safety to host their Citywide Safety Fair and awards day.
We offer training, available from our manufacturers, fit testing for our respirators and equipment repairs through our manufacturers.
We offer classes in CPR, AED, Blood borne Pathogens, Disaster Preparedness and First Aid through our contractor @ Life Support Unlimited.
During the Fires:
We were here, getting the supplies needed for San Diego at below retail prices. We left in the early morning hours to drive to LA and load our trucks to bring in additional supplies directly from the manufacturers, not once, but three times. We never ran out of any supplies during the fires, especially respirators! We stayed around the clock to be sure the people and the Heroes of San Diego had what they needed.
If there is a spill at 3am we will be available with supplies as needed.
We are on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week. In times of crisis, we will be there.

R.J. Safety is committed to representing only the highest quality manufacturers of safety equipment, we work directly with each manufacturer ensuring factory authorized support for product training and warranty repairs. If you inquire with the customers we presently service, our depth of knowledge, inventories stocked for rapid delivery, and unparallel response during disasters are the main criteria for maintaining contacts and relationships with R.J. Safety.
Our extensive inventory, over half a million dollars of Safety Equipment, is stocked to our customers needs.
We anticipate our customers’ needs, an emergency on your part is and ordinary stock order for our company. We will have what you require to keep the labor force working without interruption.
Portions of our inventory are the products needed in the event of a disaster from earthquakes, fires or terrorist attacks.
Technology is a major driver of efficiency for our company and the rapid transfer of information is important part of our first class service. We have completely updated our computer system with our supplier Activant Solutions Inc. Every employee has a personal email and the outside sales staff carries Blackberries for quick responses.
Inventory tracking reports can be generated to satisfy customers’ requests for history reports and inventory usage.
Custom contracts can be created to reference your stock numbers and track the shipping information you may need for quarterly inventory control. All shipping labels contain the necessary purchase order information and bar code requirements.
We maintain a full-time employee whose primary duties are to maintain and expand the website – rjsafety.com. We are able to create a portal on the website, for the exclusive use of your company, and have it meet any requirements or products you requests, at no charge.
Every 18 months we publish a new Safety Equipment Catalog (in house), which incorporates our latest products and pricing. We have just completed the latest catalog in July of 2011.
